Street Jazz is the rawest form of Jazz, blending Jazz and Street Dance together and expresses the hottest moves seen in the latest music videos. This unique style of dance is taken from the classical elements of Jazz, but placed in the modern environment. Basically, it was created to be a "cool" form of jazz incorporating moves from other street dance styles.

Our Contemporary class provides a wonderful introduction to contemporary dance and self-expression drawing upon elements of contemporary technique. This class is designed for students with little or no training in contemporary dance and who like to move, take risks and be expressive. Class begins with a warm up to improve posture, alignment, build strength and flexibility followed by phrase work focusing on musicality, creativity, style and intensity. Our Grade 1 Ballet students performed to a Russian inspired folk dance, Kalinka during DancePot 1st Charity Concert in DPAC Theater, Empire Damansara on Nov 8 & 9, 2014.

It was their first time performing with their character shoes. Character shoes are firstly introduced to students entering Grade 1 Ballet as part of their RAD syllabus.

New School Hip-Hop or also known as L.A Style is currently one of the most commercial street dance style across the globe. Focusing on musicality and often inspired by lyrical content, New School Hip-Hop is smooth, sharp and precise. It also takes a large amount of control and power in order to execute movements appropriately and often includes a theatrical element to incorporate feeling and emotion.

A picture and a frame can tell a million stories, as it just depends on what we make of it. I immediately fell in love with 2 things prior to this creation - the beauty of Ed Sheeran's melodious rendition, and the concept that evolved from it. My routine, like the song, is really about that feeling of when you love someone so hard, but know you just can't have him or her no matter what. And that pain, or amazing sensation I would rather say, must be kept somewhere, hence the foundation behind this choreography. If ever this happens, fear not as we can just keep this love in a photograph, where we can create memories for ourselves. After only 3 months in training, we tried to put one of our Accelerated Ballet student (Jin Yee, age 11) on the stage performing to Princess Florine Variation from Sleeping Beauty during DancePot 1st Charity Concert in DPAC Theater, Empire Damansara on Nov 8 & 9, 2014.
